Mighty Kiwi Commercial (MKC) specialise in mechanical and electrical repairs and are the largest service and parts supplier for Combilift carriers and equipment South Island wide.

They are a one stop mechanical and electrical service provider for all industrial, automotive, heavy haulage, earth moving equipment and straddles.

MKC are the only NZ based Combilift service provider to have a purpose-built service truck with an elevated work platform mounted on the truck for straddle servicing and maintenance. This allows them to have a quick response time for emergency breakdowns and faster turnaround times for planned maintenance.

One of the projects that Roadrunner have had a hand in designing was alterations to the MKC truck to create more efficiencies. Joel Aylward, owner and director of MKC was in need of a custom-built long range fuel tank for their truck, he says,

“we wanted a bigger fuel tank so we could do the long-haul trips without having to constantly stop and refuel. Joel dealt with Keiran Jenkins from Roadrunner and was impressed that it could all be done remotely with no need for him to come to Christchurch. They discussed what Joel was trying to achieve and Keiran designed and drew up some plans. Joel describes the process as easy, efficient and accurate. Roadrunner custom-built a long-range fuel tank and moved the hydraulic tank to create more space on the truck for toolboxes and any future development.
