Story

The team at Roadrunner have been New Zealand's experts in custom engineering and manufacturing for more than 45 years



Roadrunner Manufacturing, formerly known as Roadrunner Transport Equipment, was established in 1974 and has been providing quality aluminium products to the New Zealand transport, marine and agriculture industry for over 45 years.

Current owners Nick Webster and Becs Toulmin and Matt and Gemma Avery have been with the business 8 years and 5 years respectively.

Based in Bulls, our 23+ strong team operate out of our purpose-built workshop. We provide custom engineering and manufacturing for an extensive range of aluminium products. Building a solid reputation for quality and service has made us the preferred fabrication company for the majority of truck and trailer bodybuilders and industry aligned companies across New Zealand.

Over the years our product range has grown from manufacturing standard diesel tanks and aluminium toolboxes, to a wide range of air tanks, hydraulic oil tanks, combination tanks and service vehicle fit outs and custom aluminum products.

At Roadrunner nothing is limited to what's on the shelf. Roadrunner specialises in manufacturing exactly what you need to get the job done.

Our well-equipped workshop houses some of the latest manufacturing technology, including two CNC Abrasive Waterjet Cutters a 200-ton 4M CNC press brake and full suite of EWM and Fronius welders. Investing in technology and staying at the forefront of manufacturing processes enables us to offer our clients the highest of quality custom designed products to meet specific application requirements, while also keeping manufacturing costs down.

Roadrunner Manufacturing is the exclusive distribution partner in New Zealand for the US-based company OMAX Corporation, one of the largest producers of abrasive waterjet systems.

Our sales team are fully trained and offer expert advice and technical knowledge to prospective clients looking for abrasive waterjet systems.

With over 85 machines installed throughout the country, our factory-trained waterjet technicians provide superior after-sales support and service to our clients.

OMAX offers a 12-month limited warranty for Maxiem, ProtoMAX and GlobalMax products. OMAX also provides a 24-month limited warranty for all OMAX and OptiMAX abrasive waterjet systems.
